Leica has launch a new firmware version for the Leica S2 for all registered LEICA S2 customers in their owners’ area.
Here’s the full release:

Latest firmware update of LEICA S2  FW 1.0.1.8

Leica Camera AG, Solms, launch the latest firmware update (FW 1.0.1.8) for the Leica S2 in his company website. Users wishing to bring their camera up to date can now download the update from the Leica owners’ area and take advantage of the improvements.
The firmware update FW 1.0.1.8 includes a revision of the setting procedure for auto- bracketing. The revision means that the shutter-release button must now only be pressed once to activate the full bracketing sequence. This function is particularly useful for shooting bracketed exposures for HDR post-processing. A second new feature concerns user-defined button programming. Now, a further control element (the menu-control button at the top right) can be programmed for rapid access. This offers photographers a further opportunity to programme the handling of the Leica S2 to suit their personal needs.
The latest firmware update is available as a download for registered S customers in the Leica Owner’s Area at https://owners.leica-camera.com.
